About this site
I'd been wanting to make a personal site for a few years, but I never got around to it until I graduated from my master's program and suddenly found myself with a boatload of free time.
The social landscape of the internet—and the world in general—has been difficult for me, especially lately. Over the past few years, I feel like I've lost touch with my sense of self and my interests by holding everything potentially weird or off-putting about me so close to my chest. Connecting with other people beyond the surface level has gotten harder—what have I given them to connect with? This site is intended to help on both fronts, by giving me a dedicated, shame-free space to talk about my projects and to practice opening up a little more.
Lately I've been practicing the editing process (and battling perfectionism) by lowering my standards for what is "publishable" and letting people see my work in a less-than-polished state. Things will likely be changed, added, or removed as I experiment with different layouts. Enjoy!
